1. 词汇&表达

(1) laborious

taking a lot of time and effort 耗时费力的；辛苦的

i.e. Checking all the information will be slow and laborious. （费时又费力）

(2) go belly-up

go broke; go bankrupt; the posture of a dead fish in the water

i.e. This company is about to go belly-up.

(3) harbor 

to keep feelings or thoughts, especially negative ones, in your mind for a long time 怀有，心怀（尤指负面感情或想法）

i.e. She began to harbor doubts about the decision.

(4) taste

to taste: in the quantity that is needed to make sth taste the way you prefer 按口味；适量

i.e. Add salt and pepper to taste. 放入适量的盐和胡椒。

2. 个人感悟

哈哈，一下子就笑了，不禁回想起了去年写的毕业论文，为了凑字数，真的是能用一个词表达的，硬要用短语。以后写东西该做减法，努力达到言简意赅，干净利索。

想到大学，就怀念那时的人和事了。But I know I have to move on.

(2) Good writers are visible just behind their words. 

认识对实践具有指导意义。我相信，透过作品可以看到作者的影子。有些书读得泪流满面，大概是作者扣到了我的心弦，看透了我的内心。虽素未谋面，却有故交之感，而我喜欢这种感觉。

(3) 第四章谈到风格，作家个人风格确实很重要，一看这个文字就知道是谁的作品，就像每个人都有其独特的嗓音。正是不同让我们产生好奇心，而好奇心又让我们留恋这个世界。

生活中，希望自己也慢慢形成自己的风格，一种简单安定的风格。可以享受绵绵细雨，亦能欣赏大雨滂沱，不必非要怎样，快乐就好。
