America's economy is not doing well. And the Washington Post thinks maybe it's time for Larry Kudlow to stop making predictions.

Nobody knows whether we're headed for a recession.

Even those who are the most bearish on the economy aren't saying it's a 50-50 shot — just that it's an increasing possibility.

Independent economists have been less optimistic, noting in particular the inversion of the Treasury yield curve — a pattern that has occurred before every recession since the 1950s.

But whatever fears exist, President Trump's chief economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, is here to calm them.

As was widely noted Sunday after Kudlow's interview, his consistent misses on the 2008 economic crash were some of the more remarkably bad predictions.
