Today is Friday and it's the 23rd day of the twelve month of Chinese lunar year. It is called the little New Year in China, because the real new year day is called the big new year.

As a tradition, in this day, Chinese people always eat a kind of candy named TangGua. The candy is made by malt sugar. Most of them look like small pumpkins. The sugar in Chinese is Tang and the pumpkin in Chinese is NanGua. So Chinese people call this kind of candy TangGua. Usually the diameter of a TangGua is about 3 centimetres. It's white, hard,sweet and tooth-sticky. When you put it in your mouth, you can immediately feel its sweet taste. But you have to soften it with the water in your mouth. It is so hard that you must spend a long time on eating it at all.I guess it means sweety life will keep for a long time to the ancient Chinese people, because in that era people are severely lack of food. But nowadays, most of Chinese people are very rich of food. They don't want to eat too much sugar, but they like the meaning of the candy rather than the taste of the candy.
