Why was the writer's aunt surprised?
It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. 'What a day!' I thought. 'It's raining again.' Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. 'I've just arrived by train,' she said. 'I'm coming to see you.'
'But I'm still having breakfast,' I said.
'What are you doing?' she asked.
'I'm having breakfast,' I repeated.
'Dear me,' she said. 'Do you always get up so late? It's one o'clock!'

It was Sunday.
I never get up early on Sundays.
I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime.
1. It was Sunday.
It is 7:00. It is raining again. It's cold.
2. never, sometimes
表示频率的副词 always / usually / often / frequently / sometimes / occasionally / seldom/ hardly ever/ rarely / never
3. on Sundays
比如 on Monday, on Friday morning, on Saturday afternoon, on Sunday evening
当我们使用 last/ next/ this/ that 时,介词必须省略
比如 I'll meet you this Friday. / Last Sunday I got up late.
Sundays,

Last Sunday I got up very late.
I looked out of the window.
It was very dark outside.
'What a day!' I thought.
'It's raining again.'
4. What a day!
What an interesting play (it is)! What a beautiful girl (she is)!
What fools they are!
How beautiful/ adorable the girl is!

Dear John
