1. monologue

If you refer to a long speech by one person during a conversation as monologue, you mean it prevents other people from talking or expressing their opinions.

e.g. Morris ignored the question and continued his monologue.

2. aggravation

action that makes a problem or a disease worse

e.g. The new secretary leave in aggravation when they mention her mistake.

3. resit

If someone resits a test or examination, they take it again, usually because they failed the first time.

e.g. If they fail, they can often resit the next year.
