In what looks like an deserted storage place or car-disposal shop, the black-and-white-striped cat acts as the narrator to introduce the next big-shot cat, but who? Let’s keep the mystery for now, but we know this cat has a tiger’s stripes and a leopard’s spots, seeing each reference-animal being imitated by one of the cats romping at the sides. While he sings about her preference to sit and lay around, a huge vintage jewel box opens up from inside, with a black cat dancing on the arched lid that slowly lifts. What comes out is the mystery cat -the Gumbie Cat Jennyannedots.

Now three girl-cats sitting on a circular podium behind the stairs in the center sings about the Gumbie cat’s responsibilities, which include teaching rats good behaviors apparently. Four “rats” with pointy mouth sat in a line before her, copying her actions of “crocheting” and “tatting” in synchronization with the corresponding lyrics sung. The black-and-white cat comes into center stage again, “paints” the picture again of what a dreamer the Gumbie is, while she crawl-dives through the space between his legs to corroborate with the description.

Then the trio of chorus girls dancing in jazz moves tells the story of how the Gumbie “trains” cockroaches. Meanwhile Jennyannedots slaps on the back of a dark-suit roach, and shakes off her clumsy outer-coat that dresses her into a big furry ball. An army of roaches appear from no where, playing trumpets- apparently gigantic silver wares to hail the now golden and shiny Jennyannedots. The Gumbie joins them, and now they are tap dancing together for a “military drill”, where all the roach soldiers stride out in good formation waving the silver wares as swords and knives, which strikes a perfect harmony with their tapping steps.
