According to legend, in the ancient time, the sky was a mass of chaos, while the earth was a pile of mud. Our Creator Nuwa mixed the mud and water and knead anything at will.
One day she unintentionally made a creature with womb on head and cocked tails, named as Rooster. When it crowed, the gate of sky opened, then the Sun, the Moon, and the stars all showed up on the sky.
The second day, she made a creature withfour lags and paws in plum blossom shape, it’s named as Dog. When the dog bark and ran around, the earth gate opened, so there are four orientation East, West, south and north.
On the third day, she made a creature with long mouth and short legs, named as Pig.The pig is so valuable that it could provide plenty of meat and manure.
On the fourth day, Nuwa made a creature with big horns and white beard, it was named Sheep. Worshipping the heaven by sacrificing sheep and the God gives blessing, and good fortune.
The fifth day, a strong creature named Ox wascreated. It’s big with strength, could manage heavy works.
On the sixth day, she made a creature who’s really good at running, and named it as Horse.
When she done with the six animals, Nuwa still needed someone to control them, so she created human, and gave human spirituality by a gentle blow. Therefore the human was called the lord of creation.
