On Sept. 23rd morning,  the first lecture shown to us was given by a famous English educator in China Li Jingchun. He principally talked about primary English reading teaching and thinking training, which was divided into three parts, i.e., reading strategies and thinking training, reading skills and thinking training and reading comprehension and thinking training. He called on the primary students to be willing to read by themselves instead of being urged to. They should have a good attitude, incentive and willing to accept various reading materials. He suggests we teachers encourage the students to enlarge their English Reading. The second class was given by humorous passionate and lively English researcher Tian Xiangjun. The title is "Five Nice Mice". It mainly let students master the sound of letter "i" in open syllable. The students were led by Mr. Tian to find the rule of sound on their own. Through his whole lesson, the atmosphere was active, the songs always emerge and laugher often appears. He arranged the lesson from easiness to difficulty. First, he gave Ss numerous input of the pronunciation of the words, then he trained Ss to read phrases, after that, Ss read sentences, in the end, Ss were led to sing songs and do a listening practice. After his class, he gave a lecture, which emphasizes the usage of songs, rhymes and chants into the English teaching. In this way, Ss will show more interest in English learning, and teaching will be easier.

On Sept. 23rd afternoon, the first class was given by a foreign teacher Fraser Bewich. He majorly taught kids reading. The passage was past tense. Most of his class, Ss are arranged to think in his designed questions. However, his material and design are a little difficult for Changsha students to understand. So the whole lesson was not very smooth, which means Ss' English reading is in desperate need. The second class was given by a famous primary school English teacher Zhu Weishan. He had colourful teaching experience in the USA, so his teaching is modern. However, our students in Changsha could not catch up with the international pace. His teaching material is difficult for the students to understand. The whole class was not smooth. In spite of his beautifully-designed ppt, it is not a very successful demonstration class. To conclude, our teaching should be in line with the students' learning. No matter how famous a teacher is, he should not only teach good students well but also common students well.

On Sept. 24th morning, we listened to three classes. Huang Hui taught the first reading class. The teaching material is a story from a picture book. Her teaching procedure is very clear. The teaching content is from easiness to difficulty, which is specifically from words to sentences. She reflects her reading strategies to us. She makes full use of the pictures and keybwords to understand the whole story. She effectively strings the plots in the story. Students find it easy to understand. It is wonderful. Ding Jieqiong taught the second class. Her teaching is too difficult for the students to understand. Her teaching method and design are a little bit difficult for the primary students, too. So in this class, the atmosphere seems a little boring. I admit that her reading class strategies are advanced, which deserves our learning. Fan Aige taught the third class. Her teaching material is a story from a picture book. The story consists of parallel sentences. Ms. Fan points out the visual words and leads the students to organize sentences by themselves. For example,  If you chase a brother, a brother will chase you. If you...Student can make lots of corresponding sentences. They can continue the story writing.

All in all, learning never stops. Every teacher has shining points. Learn from their merits and combine them to my own.
