1、measure noses

千万不要以为是“测量鼻子”哦，其实是相遇的意思

They measured noses  in a sultry[ˈsʌltri]  summer afternoon.

他们相遇在一个炎热的夏日午后。

2、run/come /fall/drop/stumble across

偶遇，突然遇见 。多用以上动词表偶然碰到、发现某人

That celebrity[siˈlebriti] was run across by strangers in a cinema.

那位明星在电影院被路人偶遇。

He stumbled across his  friend at a cofffee shop.

他在一家咖啡馆里碰见了好友。

3、run into

不经意间撞见某人：不期而遇，多指认识的人

She ran into her ex in the street.

她在街上突然撞见前任。

其他表偶遇的相关表达： come/run/ tumble upon; encounter

4、encounter

邂逅，现多用于与陌生人的邂逅，带有浓厚感情色彩

They encountered each other on a journey.

他们在一次旅行中邂逅彼此。

5、reencounter

"re"前缀表“again”(再一次)；再一次相遇即重逢

The world is too big, maybe we seperate and never reencounter.

世界太大，或许分离就很难再重逢。

6、reunite

"unite"本意是“统一、团结”，加上前缀“re”, 表“重逢、再次团聚”、

Parents reunited with their lost child.

父母最终与自己失散多年的孩子重逢了。

7、cross somebody's path

相当于“come into unavoidable confrontation[ˌkɔnfrʌnˈteɪʃən]（不可避免的正面相对）”, 指“狭路相逢，冤家路窄”，多指与自己不喜欢的人相遇

The wicked [ˈwɪkɪd]  man crossed my path in hotel.

我与一位坏人在酒店里面狭路相逢。

8、once-in-a-life-time encounter

一期一会。源于日本茶道；意为人生中仅有的一次相遇，要诚心招待，珍惜相遇的缘分

Maybe it's a once-in-a-life-time encounter; hence we should cherish each meeting.

每一次相遇都有可能是人生中仅有的一次，因此我们应该要好好珍惜。

Fate brings together people who are far apart.

有缘终相逢。
