Today is Saturday.

Ella asked Henny where she got those. Henny told them that the awful policeman got those candy for her. And she then generously held out the peanut bar. Mama thanked the policeman and hustled her brood out. She held Henny's hand and asked her never leave Mama until they got home. On thee way to the streetcar, Henny told them what had happened to her. She had been watching the strange men and women beside the wonderful-world tent until she suddenly found she had been away from her family. She wasn't panic, nor did she cry. She just remembered that she had read some stories about the children who had been lost. She knew that the policeman would help her, so she looked for a policeman and when she found one and told him her situation, the policeman took her to the police station. The policeman gave her the peanut bar and a lollipop. The other lost children cried for fearing that they could never come back to their homes, but Henny believed Mama would get her in the end.
