  4. Help keep the infrastructure working
  5. Serve the hacker culture itself

Style

Learn to write your native language well.
Read science fiction.
Join a hackerspace and make things
Train in a martial-arts form.
Study an actual meditation discipline.
Develop an analytical ear for music.
Develop your appreciation of puns and wordplay.

Not do

Don’t use a silly, grandiose user ID or screen name.
Don’t get in flame wars on Usenet (or anywhere else).
Don’t call yourself a ‘cyberpunk’, and don’t waste your time on anybody who does.
Don’t post or email writing that’s full of spelling errors and bad grammar.
