Weisse Elster isn´t anything but a success story: starting in 2014 with just 500 liters ofbeer sold in one small spätshop, in only 2 years we were able to become one ofGermanys leading craft beerbreweries with over 300 selling points in EasternGermany.

In 2013 after studying theology I became interested in craftbeer and started home brewing in our 9 square feet kitchen, just 15 liters at atime.After I pulled my thirdbrew of boiling India Pale Ale all over me and the kitchen floor, because ofthe extremely small space I decided to take brewing out of my small kitchen anddirectly into a brewery. We called a small local craft brewery and got lucky tomeet one of East Germany´s best brewers. So I started learning to brew fromscratch - and that really means scratch. 500 liter per round heated with woodand coal in a small self constructed oven, filling the beer by hand in 0.33lbottles in an 11hours routine.
2013年,我在德国洪堡大学读书。那时我就对精酿啤酒很感兴趣,然后在9平方英尺的厨房里,开始了啤酒酿造,那时一次仅酿出15升啤酒。在第三批啤酒出炉时,滚烫的Pale Ale溅了我一身,厨房的地板上也全是。厨房实在太小了,我决定搬出厨房,寻找一个酿酒厂。当时就联系了本地一家小型的精酿啤酒厂家,幸运的是,他们正是东德最好的酒厂。在那儿,我开始白手起家,开始酿造啤酒。真的是白手起家!每天工作11个小时,自建的炉子,自己添材加煤,还要手工灌入330毫升的酒瓶里,每批次500升啤酒。
Shortlylater we realized that beer is not only a question of brewing but more so oflogistics, without a car or a warehouse we ended up storing beer all over ourapartment and delivering it by bike.
然后我们又意识到,啤酒不仅仅是酿造的问题,还有物流。当时没有自己的车和仓库,酒都存在自己的公寓里,然后骑着自行车去送货。
A yearlater after months of sold out beers we were able to sign a contract with EastGermany´s largest beer distributer and moved on to a new brewery. Now brewingover 10.000liters per workday.
大约一年之后,我们跟东德最大的啤酒分销商签了合约,然后搬进了新的啤酒厂。现在每个工作日大约酿造1万升啤酒,
