形容词

形容词是起描述或修饰作用,描述人和事物的性质状态。

形容词按位置可分为:前置形容词和后置形容词。

形容词按作用可分为:性质形容词和叙述形容词。

形容词的排列顺序:限定词+观点+尺寸大小+形状+新旧+颜色+国籍+材料+中心名词

前置形容词

前置形容词是修饰名词,做定语,翻译成“...的”。

a naughty young boy 一个淘气的小男孩

a small black plastic bag 一个小黑的塑料袋

The large round wooden table 这张很大的原木桌

a famous ancient Chinese poet 一位著名的中国古代诗人

the beautiful large old red Chinese wooden table 这张又大又漂亮的老式红色中国木桌

后置形容词

后置形容词指位于名词或代词后的形容词。

1、修饰不定代词

如:someone,something,everyone,nothing,somebody等

Let me tell you something interesting. 我来告诉你一些有趣的事。

Is there anything wrong with you watch? 你的表有什么问题吗?

2、形容词短语后置

I have money enough to buy a car. 我有足够的钱买辆车。

I have seen many instances similar to this. 我见过很多类似这样的例子。

All countries, big and small, should be equal. 所有国家不论大小都应该一律平等。

性质形容词

性质形容词可以用来说明所修饰名词的特征和性质,有比较级和最高级形式。

We had a long holiday this year. 我们今年度过了一个漫长的假期。

You are a careful student. 你是一个细心的学生。

叙述形容词

叙述形容词一般表达某种特定的状态,没有比较级和最高级的形式。

You are not alone. 你不是独自一人。

The man is ill. 这个人生病了。

The girl is afraid. 这个女孩很害怕

副词

副词是用于修饰形容词、动词和句子。

副词按作用可分为:时间副词、频度副词、句子副词、程度副词、地点副词、方式副词。

副词基本顺序:(副词) 主语 (副词) 谓语 宾语 (副词)

如:Actually, the social activities often receive support recently.

直译:事实上,这些社会活动经常收到支持最近。

actually做句子副词,often做频度副词,recently做时间副词。

1、句子副词

句子副词是修饰一句话的副词,一般放在句首。

Maybe you are right. 也许你是对的。

Actually, she has changed her mind. 实际上,她已经改变了她的想法。

Fortunately, he found the money. 幸运地,他找到了那些钱。

2、时间副词

时间副词用于表示时间或时期,用于句首或句尾。

Now it is beginning to rain. 现在开始下雨了。

I haven't seen her recently. 我最近没有见过她。

3、地点副词

地点副词用于表示地点和位置。

She is studying abroad. 她正在国外学习。

They moved southward. 它们想南方移动。

5、频度副词

They sometimes stay up all night. 他们有时熬夜。

He can never understand that. 他用于不会明白。

She is often late. 她经常迟到。

You can always be fine. 你可以一直很好。

6、程度副词

She is badly hurt. 他被伤的很重。

I strongly object to your saying. 我强烈反对你的说法。

I am awfully sorry for what has happened. 我对已经发生的事感到非常抱歉。

We are getting along fairly well. 我们相处的非常好。

形容词&副词的比较级和最高级

比较级的意思是“更...”

最高级的意思是“最...”

最高级修饰名词时加the表示特指,当我们说最好的东西时表示特指,所以best前要加the

He has more/less experience than I do. 他比我有更多/更少经验。

The busiest men have the most/least leisure. 最忙的人有最多/最少的空闲。

The best mirror is an old friend. 最好的镜子时一个老朋友(以人为镜可明得失)。

比较级、最高级的变化规则

1、词尾后直接加er、est

smart --- smarter --- smartest

hard --- harder --- hardest

2、以e结尾加r或st

brave --- braver --- bravest

late --- later --- latest

3、“辅音+y”结尾,改y为i再加er或est

busy --- busier --- busiest

happy --- happier --- happiest

4、以辅音字母结尾,重读闭音节,双写辅音字母,再加er或est

big --- bigger --- biggest

hot --- hotter --- hottest

5、 以-ow、-er、-te结尾的双音节词,词尾加er或est

narrow --- narrower --- narrowest

clever --- cleverer --- cleverest

polite --- politer --- politest

6、其他在词前加more或most

active --- more active --- most active

important --- more important --- most important

carefully --- more carefully --- most carefully

7、其他不规则变化

good / well --- better --- best

bad / badly / ill --- worse --- worst

little --- lest --- least

much / many --- more --- most

8、比较级的修饰语

1、much 很多 , a lot , far , a bit , a little , slightly

English is much/a bit more important thatn French in the process of globalization.
在全球化的进程中,英语比法语比较重要很多/一点。

2、any , no , some , even , still

Do you feel any better today?

Tom is no older than Jerry.

I need to get some more money.

The book is even more useful than that.

He is fat , but his brother is still fatter.

3、20 percent 百分之二十 , one-third 三分之一 , a few 一些

Cotton production is 20 percent/one-third/a few higher than in the last year.
棉花产量比去年高了百分之二十/三分之一/一些。
