不要轻信任何事，应当去探索 | 今天是青年节
Sadhguru looks at the difference between faith and belief, and how the moment the young believe, they become old!
萨古鲁谈“信念”与“信仰”的差别，以及为什么年轻人一旦开始信从，就变老了！
Sadhguru: A lament one often hears is that today’s generation is not religious, that it does not share the same beliefs of an earlier generation.
Sadhguru(萨古鲁)：常听到这种哀叹，这一代人对宗教不那么虔诚了。他们不与先辈享有相同的信仰。
I personally wish there were more youth who did not believe! It is an unfortunate situation in the world when youth believe what their fathers say. Youth are only youthful when they don’t believe anything. They should be willing to explore; they must want to know for themselves. If that longing vanishes, how can you call them young anymore? They are old!
我个人希望有更多青年人不信从！青年人盲目相信父辈所言，是不幸的现象。青年人只有在不轻信任何事的时候，才是真正年轻的。他们应当愿意去探索，他们必须自己想去弄明白。如果这种渴望丧失了，你还怎么能称其年轻？ 他们已经老了。
Youth are only youthful when they don’t believe anything. They should be willing to explore; they must want to know for themselves.
青年人只有在不轻信任何事的时候，才是真正年轻的。他们应当愿意去探索，他们必须自己想去弄明白。
Let us first understand the distinction between a religion and a spiritual process. When you belong to any form of organized religion, you’re a believer. When you are on a spiritual path, you’re a seeker.
首先让我们了解“宗教”和“灵性”的区别。当你属于任何形式的宗教团体，你是一个信徒。当你踏上灵性之旅，你是一个探求者。
What is the difference between the two? When you say “I believe” you are fundamentally saying, “I am unwilling to admit that I do not know”. The seeker is willing to admit he doesn’t know. The believer is unwilling to make this admission. He draws conclusions about what is not yet within his experience.
两者差别在哪儿？当你说：“我相信”，你实际上是在说：“我不愿承认我不知道”。探求者愿意承认自己不知道。而信徒不愿承认他不知道，他对还不在他体验之内的事下了结论。
Seeking means you have realized that you do not know the essential nature of your own life, or the source of this creation. You do not know who you are, where you came from, where you will go. When you are in a state of “I do not know”, you are alive, responsive, childlike, incapable of conflict. Human intelligence is such that it makes you wonder about life. The moment you replace this deep sense of wonder with certainty, you have destroyed all possibilities of knowing. In belief, you have a new kind of confidence, but certainty without clarity can be dangerous, both for yourself and the world.
“探求”表明你意识到自己不知道自身生命的本质，或生命起源。你不知道你是谁，你从哪里来，你往哪里去。当你处在“我不知道”阶段，你是鲜活的、乐于回应的、孩童般的、不会起冲突的。人类智慧赋予你对生命的好奇心。一旦这种深深的好奇心被确信取代，你就摧毁了求知的全部可能性。在确信中，你有了一种新的信心，但不明晰的确信是危险的——对你自己以及这个世界来说都是如此。
Start From Where You Are
从你的所在之处启程
A spiritual process means that you are absolutely straight with yourself. It doesn’t matter who said what – whether Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, or God or his messengers. Maybe they are telling the truth, but you have not experienced it. You can listen with all due respect, but you still don’t know.
灵性探索过程意味着你对自己绝对坦诚。无论是谁说了什么_奎师那、耶稣、佛祖、上帝， 或他的信使，都没关系。或许他们说的是真理，可你还没有经历过。你可以恭敬倾听，但你仍是不懂的。
When you see that you don’t know, you can walk a path that starts from where you are. But unlike a believer, you don’t make assumptions about the final destination.

Because you have placed at least one foot on the path, you have some understanding of what it is; you can see whether it’s working for you. So, there is still room for your intelligence to function. But if you make conclusions about your destination, there is no room for intelligence; the result is stagnation.
当你知道自己不懂时，就能从自身所在之处启程。与信徒所不同的是，你不对终点妄作推测。由于你至少迈出了一步，你会对灵性有些许了解，会看到灵性是否对你起了作用。因此，你仍有动脑子思考的余地。但如果你对终点下了定论，就没有了思考的空间，结果就是停滞不前。
The conflict in the world is not between good and evil, as is so often projected. The conflict is always between one man’s belief and another man’s belief, whether it is within the family or between nations. The moment you believe something, you are in conflict with the opposing belief. You can postpone it with moderate talk. But conflict is inevitable.
人们通常认为世间的冲突在于善与恶之间，但事实并非如此。冲突总是产生在人与人所持的不同信仰之间，不论是家庭还是民族。一旦你有某一个信仰，就会与和你持不同信仰的人发生冲突。通过缓和的对话，你能延迟冲突。但冲突是不可避免的。
Faith – Yes, Belief – No!
要有信念，不要信从！
You need some faith to walk the spiritual path, but not belief. Faith arises out of a deep inner experience. There is no calculation involved here, no agendas, no indoctrination, no guarantees.
踏上灵性修行之路，你需要靠信念，而不是信仰。信念源自深层的内在体验。它没有任何算计、图谋、教化和保障。
Belief is cultivated; faith is a happening. Or to put it another way, belief is brainwashing; faith is about washing the brains！
信仰是培养出来的，信念是自然产生的。换句话说，信仰是洗脑，信念是清脑！
From day one, at Isha, I only put doubt into people’s minds. I feed them on doubt because all indoctrination has to go away if the real thing is to happen. I deliberately structure my personality in a way that makes people uncomfortable. I never ask people to “trust” me, because the word is badly corrupted. If people hang on, it is only because of an inner experience. This is not psychological. This is faith. Their very life energies are involved in the journey.
在Isha, 从建立的第一天起，我就只是把疑问装进人们的头脑里。这样做的原因是，若要真理绽放，必须清除所有教条。我有意地让自己保持一种让人感觉不舒服的个性。我从不让人去“信任”我，因为这个词已被糟蹋坏了。如果人们坚持跟着我，那仅是因为有了某种内在体验。这不是心理上的。这是信念。他们的生命能量都投入到这个旅程中去了。
Faith is not about being senseless. It is recognizing that there is an intelligence in the universe that is beyond our limited logic, and seeking ways to access that. But right now, unfortunately, faith has been misunderstood to mean rigid dogma.
信念不意味着没有理智。信念是意识到宇宙中有一种超越我们逻辑极限的智慧，并探索能触及它的路径。但不幸的是，如今信念被误认为是僵化的教条。
If one day, your experience rises beyond the limitations of your mind, faith will happen by itself. Belief is cultivated; faith is a happening. Or to put it another way, belief is brainwashing; faith is about washing the brains!
当某一天，你的体验超越了你头脑的局限，信念就自然产生。信仰是培养出来的，信念是自然发生的。换句话说，信仰是洗脑，信念是清脑！
Once you have a questioning mind, learn to employ that to grow. Don’t try to discard the mind; it is impossible. Faith and reason do not have to be mutually exclusive. Immature reason is atheism. When reason matures, it turns to faith.
一旦你有一个不断提出问题的头脑，要学着使用它让它成长。不要试图抛弃头脑，这是不可能的。信念和理智不必相互排斥。不成熟的理智是无神论。当理智变得成熟了，它就成为了信念。
【反思】
这几天听郦波老师讲的张居正，听出了一种为了理想而孤军奋战的人。无奈，却无处去说。艰难前行。是啊，作为宰相，他是称职的，但也因为要实行变法，得罪了不少人。哪些士大夫们，只知道伦理道德，却不知理想，弹劾他、弹劾皇上。在下跪前后，性情也是大变。变得奢侈起来，也变得果断和不近乎人情。但一切都是为了变法。是，理想实现了，却也造成了后来自己死后的悲剧。家被抄，儿子被迫自杀，流亡。所以，一个是老师，一个是学生。学生还是在老师死后害了老师的家。如何去评价，只可说，人心拨测。
生活，需要劳逸结合。
