This module only connects to the SFM. Without the SFM, the card is powered off and ceases to function until a SFM is inserted into the chassis.
WS-X67xx 为支持CEF720/dCEF720/aCEF720 模式的线卡, 720的卡貌似都不支持PoE。
升级到DFC：WS-F6700-DFC3 或者3B 3BXL 3C 3CXL

为支持SFM 模块的线卡(SFM-capable)
CEF256,dCEF256(带PoE的不能升级到dCEF), 添加WS-F6K-DFC3支持sup720，添加WS-F6K-DFC支持sup2， 错误搭配DFC和PFC会导致板卡不能使用。256Gbps, 30Mpps(通过对于DFC升级支持分布式转发的插槽来说，每个插槽支持15Mpps)
支持引擎Supervisor Engine 1A(bus), Supervisor Engine 2(bus+8G到SFM矩阵)，Supervisor Engine 720（bus+8G到720矩阵）

注意：
These modules have a single serial channel to the switch fabric and a connection to the Data BUS. These modules can function in a chassis, with or without a SFM.
Second-generation switch fabric-enabled modules的模块必须要需要配合SFM卡！ 因为第二代只有fabric连接，没有bus连接。
Second-generation switch fabric-enabled modules（如WS-X6816-GBIC）work only in the presence of a SFM. If there are no SFMs in a chassis with second-generation switch fabric-enabled modules, the modules do not function. This module has dual serial channels to the switch fabric and does not have a connection to the Data BUS. Without an operational SFM in the chassis, the module does not function.
另外：DFC和PFC选型的是否要注意匹配。
Classic 系列模块
WS-X61xx 不支持DFC
WS-X63xx 不支持DFC
classic模块, 使用维护控制引擎PFC上的中央CEF引擎，只与32Gbps总线相连接，15Mpps。不能升级到DFC。
支持引擎Supervisor Engine 1A, Supervisor Engine 2，Supervisor Engine 720
矩阵连接: 只32Gbps总线（支持引擎Supervisor Engine 1A, Supervisor Engine 2，Supervisor Engine 720）
不支持分布式转发，也不能通过一个分布式转发卡（DFC）进行升级。

Supervisor Engine 1:
到模块的32Gbps 共享总线和各模块连接
Supervisor Engine 2:
到模块的双矩阵连接，每条通道8Gbps全双工.
使用WS-C6500-SFM 与WS-X6500-SFM2 可以提高到256G
Switch Fabric Modules（SFM） operate only with a Supervisor Engine 2. They are not supported with Supervisor Engine 1A or Supervisor Engine 720.
Cisco Catalyst 6500系列SFM或SFM2为分布式转发功能的接口模块，支持分布式转发，如果接口模块和Sup2-MSFC2和DFC配合使用，提升32Gbps到256Gbps。
Sup720交换矩阵可以与CEF256或dCEF256接口模块配合配合使用，接口模块以8Gbps和16Gbps与矩阵互操作，检测到CEF256或dCEF256后，交换矩阵将自动连接这些模块，并视情况(看线路卡是单通道还是双通道)为他们提供8Gbps or 16Gbps带宽。
Supervisor Engine 720:
每端口40Gbps；到模块的双矩阵连接，每条通道20Gbps全双工

背板 矩阵:
32G总线
32G总线，256G矩阵（SFM上）如果你只需要32G背板容量，那么只需要正常配置引擎，1代2代都可以。如果要用256G容量，就要上交换矩阵，一个两个都可以，看要不要备份，但是容量都是256G
