Ubuntu 9.10- Setup Evolution for hotmail

Evolution类似Windows下面Outlook的角色。
下面简述对于hotmail邮箱的设置。
比如邮箱地址：[email protected]

Evolution => Preferences => "Mail Accounts"
如果没有，就要增加。我在初次运行时已经设置了，下面是Edit显示的内容。
Identify:
 Account Information
   Name: [email protected]

 Required Information
   Full Name: example
   Email Address: [email protected]

 Optional Information
   Empty

Receiving Email
 Server Type: POP
 Configuration:
   Server: pop3.live.com
   Username: [email protected]
 Use Secure Connection: SSL encryption
 Authentication Type:
   Password + Check for Supported Types

Sending Email
  Server Type: SMTP

  Server Configuraiton
   Server: smtp.live.com
   Server requires authentication: enabled

Security:
  Use Secure Connection: TLS Encryption

Authentication
  Type: PLAIN + Check for Supported Types
  Username: [email protected]


上次装机发送邮件怎么都不行，修改如下后OK:

hotmail - send mail settings:

server type: smtp

server: smtp.live.com

server requires authentication: yes

Secure Connection: TLS encryption

Authentication:

Type: Login

Username: [email protected]
