1:1 耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華曉諭摩西的幫手嫩的兒子約書亞，說：
1:1 yé hé huá de pú rén mó xī sǐ le yǐ hòu， yé hé huá xiǎo yù mó xī de bāng shǒu nèn de ér zi yuē shū yà， shuō：
1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,1:2 我的僕人摩西死了。現在你要起來，和眾百姓過這約但河，往我所要賜給以色列人的地去。
1:2 wǒ de pú rén mó xī sǐ le。xiàn zài nǐ yào qǐ lái， hé zhòng bǎi xìng guò zhè yuē dàn hé， wǎng wǒ suǒ yào cì gěi yǐ sè liè rén de de qù。
1:2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.1:3 凡你們腳掌所踏之地，我都照著我所應許摩西的話賜給你們了。
1:3 fán nǐ men jiǎo zhǎng suǒ tà zhī de， wǒ dōu zhào zhe wǒ suǒ yīng xǔ mó xī de huà cì gěi nǐ men le。
1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.1:4 從曠野，和這利巴嫩，直到伯拉大河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落之處，都要作你們的境界。
1:4 cóng kuàng yě， hé zhè lì bā nèn， zhí dào bó lā dà hé， hè rén de quán de， yòu dào dà hǎi rì luò zhī chù， dōu yào zuò nǐ men de jìng jiè。
1:4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.1:5 你平生的日子，必無一人能在你面前站立得住。我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在；我必不撇下你，也不丟棄你。
1:5 nǐ píng shēng de rì zi， bì wú yī rén néng zài nǐ miàn qián zhàn lì dé zhù。wǒ zěn yàng yǔ mó xī tóng zài， yě bì zhào yàng yǔ nǐ tóng zài； wǒ bì bù piē xià nǐ， yě bù diū qì nǐ。
1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.1:6 你當剛強壯膽！因為你必使這百姓承受那地為業，就是我向他們列祖起誓應許賜給他們的地。
1:6 nǐ dāng gāng qiáng zhuàng dǎn！ yīn wèi nǐ bì shǐ zhè bǎi xìng chéng shòu nà de wèi yè， jiù shì wǒ xiàng tā men liè zǔ qǐ shì yīng xǔ cì gěi tā men de de。
1:6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.1:7 只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹守遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏離左右，使你無論往那裡去，都可以順利。
1:7 zhǐ yào gāng qiáng， dà dà zhuàng dǎn， jǐn shǒu zūn xíng wǒ pú rén mó xī suǒ fēn fù nǐ de yī qiè lǜ fǎ， bù kě piān lí zuǒ yòu， shǐ nǐ wú lùn wǎng nà lǐ qù， dōu kě yǐ shùn lì。
1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.1:8 這律法書不可離開你的口，總要晝夜思想，好使你謹守遵行這書上所寫的一切話，如此你的道路就可以亨通，凡事順利。
1:8 zhè lǜ fǎ shū bù kě lí kāi nǐ de kǒu， zǒng yào zhòu yè sī xiǎng， hǎo shǐ nǐ jǐn shǒu zūn xíng zhè shū shàng suǒ xiě de yī qiè huà， rú cǐ nǐ de dào lù jiù kě yǐ hēng tōng， fán shì shùn lì。
1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.1:9 我豈沒有吩咐你嗎？你當剛強壯膽，不要懼怕，也不要驚惶，因為你無論往那裡去，耶和華你的神必與你同在。
1:9 wǒ qǐ méi yǒu fēn fù nǐ ma？ nǐ dāng gāng qiáng zhuàng dǎn， bù yào jù pà， yě bù yào jīng huáng， yīn wèi nǐ wú lùn wǎng nà lǐ qù， yé hé huá nǐ de shén bì yǔ nǐ tóng zài。
1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.1:10 於是約書亞吩咐百姓的官長，說：
1:10 yú shì yuē shū yà fēn fù bǎi xìng de guān zhǎng， shuō：
1:10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,1:11 你們要走遍營中，吩咐百姓，說：當預備食物，因為三日之內，你們要過這約但河，進去得耶和華你們神賜你們為業之地。
1:11 nǐ men yào zǒu biàn yíng zhōng， fēn fù bǎi xìng， shuō： dāng yù bèi shí wù， yīn wèi sān rì zhī nèi， nǐ men yào guò zhè yuē dàn hé， jìn qù dé yé hé huá nǐ men shén cì nǐ men wèi yè zhī de。
1:11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.1:12 約書亞對流便人，迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人，說：
1:12 yuē shū yà duì liú biàn rén， jiā dé rén， hé mǎ ná xī bàn zhī pài de rén， shuō：
1:12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,1:13 你們要追念耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐你們的話，說：耶和華你們的神使你們得享平安，也必將這地賜給你們。
1:13 nǐ men yào zhuī niàn yé hé huá de pú rén mó xī suǒ fēn fù nǐ men de huà， shuō： yé hé huá nǐ men de shén shǐ nǐ men dé xiǎng píng ān， yě bì jiāng zhè de cì gěi nǐ men。
1:13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.1:14 你們的妻子、孩子，和牲畜都可以留在約但河東、摩西所給你們的地；但你們中間一切大能的勇士都要帶著兵器在你們的弟兄前面過去，幫助他們，
1:14 nǐ men de qī zi、 hái zi， hé shēng chù dōu kě yǐ liú zài yuē dàn hé dōng、 mó xī suǒ gěi nǐ men de de； dàn nǐ men zhōng jiān yī qiè dà néng de yǒng shì dōu yào dài zhe bīng qì zài nǐ men de dì xiōng qián miàn guò qù， bāng zhù tā men，
1:14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;1:15 等到耶和華使你們的弟兄，像你們一樣得享平安，並且得著耶和華你們神所賜他們為業之地，那時纔可以回你們所得之地，承受為業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約但河東向日出之地所給你們的。
1:15 děng dào yé hé huá shǐ nǐ men de dì xiōng， xiàng nǐ men yī yàng dé xiǎng píng ān， bìng qiě dé zhe yé hé huá nǐ men shén suǒ cì tā men wèi yè zhī de， nà shí cái kě yǐ huí nǐ men suǒ dé zhī de， chéng shòu wèi yè， jiù shì yé hé huá de pú rén mó xī zài yuē dàn hé dōng xiàng rì chū zhī de suǒ gěi nǐ men de。
1:15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.1:16 他們回答約書亞說：你所吩咐我們行的，我們都必行，你所差遣我們去的，我們都必去。
1:16 tā men huí dá yuē shū yà shuō： nǐ suǒ fēn fù wǒ men xíng de， wǒ men dōu bì xíng， nǐ suǒ chà qiǎn wǒ men qù de， wǒ men dōu bì qù。
1:16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.1:17 我們從前在一切事上怎樣聽從摩西，現在也必照樣聽從你，惟願耶和華你的神與你同在，像與摩西同在一樣。
1:17 wǒ men cóng qián zài yī qiè shì shàng zěn yàng tīng cóng mó xī， xiàn zài yě bì zhào yàng tīng cóng nǐ， wéi yuàn yé hé huá nǐ de shén yǔ nǐ tóng zài， xiàng yǔ mó xī tóng zài yī yàng。
1:17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.1:18 無論甚麼人違背你的命令，不聽從你所吩咐他的一切話，就必治死他。你只要剛強壯膽。
1:18 wú lùn shén me rén wéi bèi nǐ de mìng lìng， bù tīng cóng nǐ suǒ fēn fù tā de yī qiè huà， jiù bì zhì sǐ tā。nǐ zhǐ yào gāng qiáng zhuàng dǎn。
1:18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

- 1-9。比较申31：7，8。请列出神对约书亚的应许。祂所应许之成功的条件是什么？在这章中所描绘的约书亚是个怎么样的图像？
- 神的应许：
- 把迦南地赐给以色列人;
- 神会一直与他同在;

神的道是我们应当遵行的，我们当刚强壮胆，昼夜思想神的话，遵行神的道。神赐给我们中保耶稣基督带我们到安息之地，如同当时约书亚带以色列人去迦南一样，有了神的应许那就是必实现的事，但我们能得到这应许就应相信神，遵行祂的话，否则就如同那被留在旷野不得进入迦南地的人一样。
