Summary writing is a test of your ability to find the important points in a piecce of writing and to put them together.To write a snmmary,you must be able to do two things.you must  be  able to understand wnat you read,and to put iaeas together .Comprehension is a test of your ability to understand what you read.Writing is a test of your ability to put ideas together.So Summary writing and Comprehension are closely related to erch other.

摘要写作用于检测你发现一篇文章的要点和把这些要点组织起来的能力。要写好一篇摘要，你需要做两方面的工作：你需要理解所读文章和把其中的药店归纳出来。“理解”检测你对文章的理解能力；“写作”检测你把药点归纳表达的能力。因此，“摘要写作”和“理解”是紧密相连的。

Unit 1contains twenty-four short  pieces.There are some questions under each piece.Your answera to these questions will be in short,simple sentences.Put your answers together .In this way,you will make a short paragraph.your paragraph will be a summary of the piece.

第1单元共有24篇短文。每篇文章之后均有一系列问题。你应该用短小的简单句来回答这些问题，然后把你的回答组成一个段落，这个段落就是一篇摘要。

Before you begin each exercise,read these instructions carefully.Read them  rach time yu begin a new piece.They are very important.
