【0330今日话题】
对某一个单词语义上的认知一般分为两步：
1、理解其基本义
这一点一般借助于单词本身的词根、词缀来理解。
2、在理解基本义的基础上，把握该单词在不同使用场景下（这里的关键词是：场景！场景！场景！）的具体含义（可以理解为延伸义）。
请以单词agent为例，借助词典（请标注用的是什么词典），列举：
1、agent的基本义；
2、agent在不同场景下的具体含义，并附上相应的例句。

素谊：
我用的也是欧陆词典，里面嵌了比较多的词典，但还是喜欢用朗文。以下都是朗文查的，我觉得它每个释义前都有个领域，也算是不同场景了吧。
agent
1.BUSINESS a person or company that represents another person or company, especially in business:
Our agent in Rio deals with all our Brazilian business.
→ estate agent, land agent, real estate agent, travel agent
2.ARTIST/ACTOR someone who finds work for actors, musicians etc, or who finds someone to publish a writer’s work:
My agent has a new script for me to look at.
3.GOVERNMENT AGENT someone who works for a government or police department, especially in order to get secret information about another country or organization:
an intelligence agent, an FBI agent

@吴爱芝 @素谊 都有共同的问题哦。基本是复制了词典的解释，没有看到你们加工后提取出的理解。也跟我没有交代清楚有关。
今晚最后我会发一个我觉得比较不错的，对我们会有启发的呈现方式。

叶：
一般第1义项就是基本义（个人体验，没有理论依据）。
其他义项一般就是解释该词在不同场景下的具体含义。
我一般把注意力放在这些义项之间的联系和区别上。

下面以朗文学习词典为例。绿色记号为共同点，也是该词最基本的义素；蓝色记号为不同点，也是运用场景的区别。

1、agent的基本义：
ag跟act同源，意思是：to do（做）;
-ent意思是：a person or a thing（...者）;
所以agent的基本义是：a person or a thing who/which does... 做某事或起作用的人或物

2、agent在不同场景下的具体含义：（参考柯林斯词典）
1）为商人或企业办事的人，引申出的意思是“代理人，代理商”。
（所处的场景是：商业）
【例句】You are buying direct, rather than through an agent. 你这是直接购买，而不是通过代理人。

2）为艺术工作者办事的人，引申出的意思是“代理人，经纪人”。
（所处的场景是：艺术领域）
【例句】My agent has a new script for me to look at. 我的经纪人有一个新剧本要我看。

3）为国家的秘密机构办事的人，引申出的意思是“间谍，特务”。
（所处的场景是：国家的秘密事务）
【例句】All these years he's been an agent for the East. 这些年来他一直是为东方国家效力的一位间谍。

4）为事物的发展起作用的人或物，引申出的意思是“动力、媒介、因素、工具”。
（所处的场景是：事物的发展）

5）在化学的反应中起作用的物质，引申出的意思是“化学剂，作用剂”。

沉潜一念：
首先我不是很明白这个话题具体要怎么操作，然后agent这个词的词意比较明朗，其基本义各个词典上都差不多，主要有三类（朗文的编排看着比较舒服）

个人觉得不同单词，它的使用语境可以按不同方式总结，这里agent的使用场景主要分为 company/business, art, government/police sector，它的意思比较清楚，学生搞清这三种语境，我觉得应该都可以的。
