Love Is the Greatest

爱至高无上

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

如果我能和天使说这世上所有的语言但不爱世人，那我与喧嚣的锣鼓、叮当的铙钹无异。

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

如果我有预言之天赋，如果我通晓所有上帝神秘的安排和神奇的智慧，如果我有移动山岳的信念，但我不爱他人，那我便是虚无。

If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

如果我倾其所有、奉献我的身躯赠与贫困之人，我能引以为豪。但我不爱他人，才是一无所有。

Love is patient and kind.

爱是耐心和宽容。

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

爱不是（妒忌、自夸、自负、粗鲁）猜忌、炫耀、自以为是、控制他人

It does not demand its own way.

爱没有成规可循。

It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

没有急于求成，没有委曲求全。

It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

它为真理战胜不义而喝彩

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

爱是永不言弃、坚持信念、常怀希望，凡事忍耐。

Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless.

预言、未知语言的说教和特殊的知识将变得毫无用处。

But love will last forever!

但爱是永恒的！

Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!

我们现在的知识存在偏颇、无法完备，即使是拥有预言的天赋，也只不过冰山一角！

But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.

当完善的时刻到来，这些狭义的东西将式微。

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child.

当我还是一个孩子，我所说所做便如一个孩子。

But when I grew up, I put away childish things.

当我长大，便脱离了孩子的稚气。

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.

现在，我们看到的事情不完美，如同一面镜子中谜一般的影像，但之后我们所见会愈加清晰。

All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

目前我们所知的一切是片面和残缺的，但当我全知全能之时，正如此时的神明知道我是完美的。

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

三个永恒的事物 -- 信念、希望和爱 -- 爱是那冠顶的明珠。
