Job description:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Developer Technical Services team in Autodesk in Shanghai. Provides consulting services to worldwide Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) members and developers of third-party applications based on Autodesk products and Autodesk Cloud Platforms. Responsible for evangelizing Autodesk technology to support the growth of the network, to help Autodesk partners become successful and to positively impact Autodesk’s business. Provides technical assistance including software design, customization, integration, orientation/training and technical problem resolution.
PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities
TECHNICALSUPPORT
* Provide technical(programming) support to Autodesk Developer ADN members worldwide usingknowledge of a variety of tools and technologies. Help resolve technical issuesincluding communicating the functions of a particular API, assist with thesoftware code and programming-related API questions.
Also assist TechnicalConsultants who are working directly with customers to help answer and/orresolve their API-related issues. Work closely with team members worldwide tohelp resolve issues related to a specific product line.
* Use knowledge ofAutodesk products and their APIs to assist ADN members with their businessobjectives of providing value-added software for their customers. Assist withtheir software design by providing them with technical information on AutodeskAPIs and technologies. Encourage the use of newer product versions and/orvertically-oriented solutions.
* Work with internalengineering teams to incorporate enhancements as requested by ADN members. Actas a liaison between engineering and ADN members by helping evaluate andinfluence new product releases to help meet the needs of ADN community. Writeextensive samples demonstrating API usage and best practice. Submit bug reportsand work closely with engineering to ensure appropriate resolution of issuesimpacting customer satisfaction.
TECHNICAL WRITING, TRAINING AND SUPPORT
* Develop technicalcontent for the ADN program including technical notes and whitepapers. Contentis published on the ADN Dev-blog and used for conferences and marketing events.
* Develop and delivertraining courses and/or presentations internally and to ADN members. Topicsinclude APIs, and/or other software-development-related topics. Courses may bean overview of product functionality or API or may be in-depth, includinghands-on programming.
* Assist withmarketing activities including presentations and event participation. Supportthe growth of the ADN as experts of the field.
* Translate technicalissues from local language(s) to English, and vice-versa, for technical problemresolution and for publishing technical content.
Requirements
1. A bachelors' degree or higherin computer science or related field.
2. Intelligent mind and ability toquickly learn new software development technologies and one or more of theAutodesk main products.
3. Fluent oral English and goodwritten English is a MUST.
4. Love programming.
5. At least 2 years hands-onprogramming experience. (including time in University)
6. Experience or comprehensiveknowledge of web programming.
7. Familiar with at least onepopular programming language, C++/C#/VB.NET/JavaScript
8. Good skills of communicationwith colleagues and customers.
9. Good team player: Easy to workwith team members across various cultures.
10. Ability of presenting fluently inpublic.
Preferred Qualifications
11. Experience of industry (buildingor manufacturing) background is a good bonus.
12. Experience of programming onAutoCAD or Revit is a great bonus.
