The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning.They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting on the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives werekeeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stones and sand!

（1）a valuable parcel of 中parcel 和of的连读

（2）thieves中θ的发音

2.知识点

（1）parcel   n.包袱，包裹；（土地的）一块；一批，一群；（货物的）一宗；

（2）guard   V/N保卫，守护；看守

stand/keep guard (over sb/sth)：to watch or protect sb/sth 守卫；看守；保卫

（3）all morning 整个早上。all 一般直接加表示时间的单数名词构成副词短语，如：all day (整整一天)，all night(整夜)，all week(整星期)，all winter(整个冬天)，all year(整年)等。但不说all hour。

（4）注意at the airport（包括整个飞机场范围）和on the airfield（飞机起降的场地，地面上）介词不同

练习感悟：

    今天有几个单词不懂，自己单词量真的好低哦！今天是第七天啦，今天录了七八次才发出语音。一周过去得比想象的快，持续行动，但刻意学习不够。
