一：复述

I have kept a big secret for many years,even my wife had no idea about it .

To be honest,several years ago,I was a dustman and did manual work everyday. I felt too embarrassed to tell my wife the truth when I got married,so I pretended to be a "white-collar worker"

Every morning ,when I left home I had to dressed in a smart black suit,and then changed  it into overall for the next eight  hours as a dustman,before returning home at night ,I took a shower and changed back into my suit.I did this for over two years ,fortunately my wife didn't notice anything unusual,She failed to discover my real work even when I found another new job which is really an office work.

Now,I receive far less money than before,only half as much as I used to.My fellow dust men who kept my secret says"it's worthless to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of becoming white-collar workers " but for me ,I'm so pleased to wear a collar and a tie to go to work everyday without changing into other overall ,besides,the rise in status is well worth the loss of money,such is human nature.
