Self-serving Bias

Better and Better                                                                                                Day 48

Today we will learn the common phenomenon in decision-making, which is called self-serving bias. Self-serving bias includes two aspects: 1. If you can’t do it well, it must be because of uncontrollable, other people, or unexpected reasons; 2. If I succeed, it must be because of my high level. For example, in all traffic accidents, 25% of the drivers are accusing others of making mistakes. If the accident involves at least two vehicles, 91% of drivers consider it a mistake by others. People can’t learn from their own failures, for they always find reasons to attribute them to others. This attitude will make you fed good about yourself, but it will not allow you to improve your decision-making level.
