不做说明,也不必多说,希望对软件测试存在已久的关于“测试与编码”的争论有个比较权威的解释。

uTest:A good debate has recently sprung up onthe subject of whether testers should be able to code. As an expertin programming (and testing) where do you stand on this matter? Arecoding skills (or at least a base knowledge of coding) arequirement for good software testing? Are they a nice-to-have? Orare they totally superfluous?

Gerald Weinberg:You can be a greattester if you have programming skills. You can also be a greattester if you have no programming skills at all. And, you can be alousy tester with or without programming skills.A great tester will learn whatskills she needs to continue to be great, in her ownstyle.
