文档协作与文档管理

 

Document collaboration differ from document management in that it allows individuals to asynchronously develop a single document from a single location into a finished product without much concern about what happens to that document within a defined document life cycle. Document management, on the other handis concerned about applying governance rules to documents, differentiating between unofficial and official communication, and how a document will be expired. It is concerned with tracking the “who did what” to the document during certain stages of that document’s life cycle. And it is concerned about ensuring that there is only one version of the truth for that document’s contents at any given time.

 

文档协作与文档管理的区别在于,它允许独立的人员从单独的地方异步开发一个单一的文档到成品,而不用更多关注在定义的文档生命周期内发生了什么。文档管理,从另一个方面来说,关注应用到文档上的管理规则,非正式和正式通讯之间的区别,以及文档的过期。它关注与跟踪在文档生命周期的确定阶段对一个文档“谁做了什么”,并且它关注确保在任何给定的时间只有一个正确的文档版本。
