英语名词当动词用之朝花夕拾

前几天刚刚关注到一些英语名词当动词用的有趣现象，这几天在阅读中又频频撞见，是可喜的巧合，还是可悲的孤陋寡闻？管它是喜是悲，兔子自己撞到树干上来，就权当是自己的战利品了：

1. Soldier（士兵）：

In the hope of  appearing like a conscientious chef prepared for all things culinary, I soldiered on.

（我希望摆出一副成竹在胸准备在烹饪上露一手的大厨的样子，就硬挺着坚持下去。）

Eyeball（眼球）：

“It's like two bullies with money,”Simone said, eyeballing Shelly.

（"好像是两个仗财欺人的家伙。"西蒙妮死盯着谢莉说。）

3. Spoon（汤勺）：

She was spooning her elephant trainer in front of her.

（她从背后紧抱住坐在前面的驯象师。）

以后我一看到这些独特的单词，我就从背后把它们紧抱不放！

(I'll spoon such unique words whenever I see them in front of me.)
