这一章主要讲Winston被抓之后被关进牢房，牢房里的严密监控以及在牢房的所见所感，以及可怕的101房间和O’Brien.

He was in a high-ceilinged windowless cell with walls of glittering white porcelain.

在一间天花板很高，没有窗户的牢房里，墙上贴着亮闪闪的瓷砖

Concealed lamps flooded it with cold light,

flood的用法很好：隐藏的冷光照亮了整间牢房

But he was also hungry, with a gnawing, unwholesome kind of hunger.折磨人，影响健康的饥饿
