He was angry at himself and what he’d done to Tim, but not so much the others.

2. Why was John so angry with Savannah?

Because, the little voice inside him asked, there’s a chance Savannah might be right? He didn’t want to hear it.

3. Why did Tim go to John’s home?

Tim just wanted to come there to ask John not to be angry with Savannah for what she did.

4. What do we know about Tim’s brother?

He’s autistic.

5. What did John think of Tim’s feelings for Savannah?

John thought that Tim was in love with Savannah too.

6. Did John read the book? What did he find out?

Yes, he read it. John found that maybe his father was afflicted with a bit of faulty wiring in his brain, but he’d somehow formed a set of rules for life, rules that helped him fit into the world. Though they weren’t quite normal, but his father could nonetheless found a way to help John become the man he was.

7. What changes did John make?

John was better able to understand his father, and he offered to see and talk about coins with his father. He felt so close to him for the first time in his life.
